It’s Christmas Time!

So this week was awesome. I got two surprising reviews that I feel were double woot-woots!, not just for their glowing words, but for their impact. Opened me up to a couple new readers and I’m grateful as I suck at marketing big time and need all the help I can get. Interestingly, it was for my first Christmas book, The Bluest Christmas, which is one of my faves I’ve produced so it meant a lot.

So if for some miracle you’re reading this, thank you AnneMarie and Dell for your kind reviews. And also a big thanks to my little legion of followers. It’s been a slow climb, but I’m climbing and I’m enjoying every second of it. Thanks for your support and reviews. I read them all and they’re like little precious gems to me.

Didn’t think I’d enjoy the process as much as I do. Now I’m still struggling with productivity. As I use Pre-ordering to keep me on track to finish because I have zero accountability to consistently finish these other books without it, I have to be a lot smarter about my time. It’s a struggle. I go off to find a more impactful synonym and the next time I look up, I’m a hundred videos deep on TikTok.

Time management is crucial for me, especially if I want to put out better work. I aim to please those who take the time to read about my world of make-believe people.

I hope you enjoy this Holiday read, I’ve just dropped for ya, A Divine Kind of Christmas

I absolutely LOVE Christmas, so it should come as no surprise that I came up with another one. And I’ll do it again!!

I have lots more in store for 2022!

V Day 2 is coming as it seems those two ladies have left an impression.

And after that, part 3 of At the Deep End.

And after that…something like a true romance.

I realized a while back that I’m not really a romance author and I should’ve known because I was never really into “romance” books. I loved character-driven books with a romantic component and it’s been a sort of a process to figure that I also write my books that way.

I decided that is the kind of author I will be. A Deja book will always have black leads, will be character-driven (many of whom are super flawed) will have complicated situationships, lots of hot sex and will take you on a ride.

But I do want to challenge myself with a true romance. I understand the rules and I think I can pull it off. If I don’t enjoy the story as I’m writing it though, I won’t be doing it. I’ll let the story flow as it should because if I don’t enjoy it, no one else will.

At any rate, I hope you have a great Holiday season. Christmas is upon us and I hope yours is full of joy, love and happiness.

See you in 2022!
